INOU Training Welfare to Work - SBHI


We invite all SBHI members and families to our free event hosted by INOU – INOU are advocates for families and unemployed individuals. INOU canvass on people’s behalf to make the social welfare system equal and understandable for all.

The training will help support members and families to become aware of  Social Welfare Payments and Work. INOU will address members’ and families’ concerns regarding working and payments/carers allowance/ HSE entitlements etc.

The training is via Zoom 31st of August 10.00 – 12.30. There will be a Q&A, and the event will be uploaded to the Hub.

About the instructor

Marcus Ward

SBHI Peer Mentor

Marcus Ward works with SBHI as Peer Mentor on the What Works for Me program. He has both spina bifida and hydrocephalus and is a full-time wheelchair user. He has a degree in Spanish and French, and also works as a language teacher. The topic of Spina bifida and employment is important to him and so he has advocated on this issue for several years.
